Shahdad
Shahdad is one of the best places to see the beauties of desert in your Iran trip. Shahdad desert is located in northeast of Kerman and west part of "Loot desert" with 24000 square kilometers area. Shahdad is deemed to be one of the vastest parts of the country and oldest sections of Kerman province. The first thing that gains your attention when you go to visit this desert, are the amazing "Yargangs". These appealing yardangs that can only be found in few countries of the world, entices many explorers to have an Iran tour. There also exist some historical monuments remained from 4000 BC to Islamic period such as cemeteries, caravanserais, castles etc. in this area. And of course the oldest flag of the world, known as "Shahdad flag" has been found in this area.
